Ashley House Printing Company is a well-established leader in the printing industry, renowned for delivering high-quality printed materials and exceptional customer service. With a rich history and a commitment to innovation, we serve clients across a variety of sectors, producing everything from brochures and books to bespoke packaging and large format products.

We are currently looking for an experienced, multi-skilled, hardworking and enthusiastic Large Format Printer, Sign Maker and Installer to join the team at Ashley House Printing Company.

The role will involve working in a busy large format department and to carry out tasks including proofing, printing, sign making and installation.

The successful applicant must be versatile, creative and have a passion for print and display. It is essential that the applicant has previous experience in large format printing, installation and application with knowledge of HP Latex machines, lamination, Summa cutting and the Adobe Suite.

The applicant must be able to work to the highest standards and as part of a team. This is an exciting role, working within a dedicated large format studio at Ashley House.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare artwork for printing
• Set up and operate large format machines
• Monitor machine operations to ensure colour management, quality and efficiency
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on press machines
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organised work area
• Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes

About You:

We are looking for someone with:

• Experience: Previous experience in a large format environment is essential.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with large format machinery and processes is required.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for quality and precision in every task.
• Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a busy environment.
• Physical Fitness: The role will involve lifting materials and prolonged periods of standing.

We are currently seeking a Bindery Operative, Print Finisher and Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team and support the final stages of our production process. If you’re enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute to a thriving business, this could be the role for you!

This is a full time role but part time hours also considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain bindery equipment, including but not limited to guillotines, folding machines, stitching machines, Heidelberg cylinders and perfect binders.
• Perform finishing tasks such as cutting, folding, stitching, laminating, and binding printed materials according to client specifications.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet Ashley House’s quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with the production team to meet deadlines and exceed customer expectations.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues to maintain smooth operations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment in line with health and safety guidelines.
• Pack boxes and strap pallets for delivery
• Sort, place and label daily paper deliveries for the press room.

About You:

• Experience: Previous experience in a printing or bindery environment is essential.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with bindery machinery and processes is required.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for quality and precision in every task.
• Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a busy environment.
• Physical Fitness: The role will involve lifting materials and prolonged periods of standing.
• Full Clean UK Driving License: The role will involve delivery driving in our own van.
• Fork Lift Driving Experience: not essential but would be an advantage.
