We are currently seeking a Bindery Operative, Print Finisher and Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team and support the final stages of our production process. If you’re enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute to a thriving business, this could be the role for you!

This is a full time role but part time hours also considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain bindery equipment, including but not limited to guillotines, folding machines, stitching machines, Heidelberg cylinders and perfect binders.
• Perform finishing tasks such as cutting, folding, stitching, laminating, and binding printed materials according to client specifications.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet Ashley House’s quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with the production team to meet deadlines and exceed customer expectations.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues to maintain smooth operations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment in line with health and safety guidelines.
• Pack boxes and strap pallets for delivery
• Sort, place and label daily paper deliveries for the press room.

About You:

• Experience: Previous experience in a printing or bindery environment is essential.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with bindery machinery and processes is required.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for quality and precision in every task.
• Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a busy environment.
• Physical Fitness: The role will involve lifting materials and prolonged periods of standing.
• Full Clean UK Driving License: The role will involve delivery driving in our own van.
• Fork Lift Driving Experience: not essential but would be an advantage.
