Our Carbon Capture Achievements in 2021

15th Feb 2022

As a green printing company, it goes without saying that we do everything we can to ensure our processes and materials are sustainable, allowing us to keep our carbon footprint to a minimum. With this in mind, we work closely with many charities and organisations with environmental protection at heart, including both The Woodland Trust Carbon Capture Scheme and Forest Carbon – both leaders within the UK for woodland conservation and creation.

As part of these schemes, every time we purchase sustainably sourced paper, we help to plant trees and capture carbon. With our reputation as one of the most eco-friendly printers in the UK, we are extremely proud that we are the largest contributor to the Carbon Capture Scheme in the South West, purchasing at least 60 tonnes of carbon captured paper every year.

We’re proud to share that in 2021, we helped create 508.83m2 of new native woodland in the UK, removing around 20,353kg of Carbon Dioxide with the Woodland Trust Carbon Capture Scheme, and through the Forest Carbon scheme we helped plant 222.5 new trees, capturing around 55,855kg of Carbon Dioxide and creating a new woodland area of 2396.05m2 – what an achievement!

If your business is looking to reduce its carbon footprint this year, making the switch to eco-friendly print materials is a great place to start. By using a reduced carbon printer, you can rest assured that the carbon footprint of our business is minimal, and we can help you reduce yours too, as environmental protection is at the heart of everything that we do.

Devon wildlife appeal

As part of our support for The Woodland Trust, we’re excited to share that they have been given the opportunity to buy a 54-hectare site right on our doorstep – located in Lympstone, Devon. The goal is to purchase this site and transform it into a thriving haven for local wildlife, including new woodlands, wood pasture, glades and grassland areas. Want to help make this happen? The fundraising needs to be achieved by March to secure the site. If you would like to help, please click here to make a donation.
